Abstract

This study aims to apply the technology of continuous improvement, specifically Kaizen, in the educational process to develop professional competencies among future computer science teachers in Kazakhstan. The development of professional competencies encompasses motivational, cognitive and activity components, which are fostered through the acquisition of knowledge, analysis and evaluation of cases, and the ability to select optimal solutions. The study involved doctoral students, teachers and students of the educational program 5B011100 - Informatics at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Astana, Kazakhstan. The collaboration of all participants resulted in the development of a pedagogical model based on case technology, ultimately leading to the creation of the digital educational environment Kaizen in Education. The experimental group utilised the Kaizen continuous improvement technology to develop their professional skills and competencies, while the control group followed traditional teaching methods. The results highlight the effectiveness of the proven Kaizen technology and the pedagogical model in improving the quality of education for future computer science teachers.
